How it works

Industrial engineers, matched to the fault you actually have

FixMySystem is a marketplace for industrial machine work. Machine-owning businesses describe the fault and compare quotes from independent engineers; engineers bid for the work on their own terms and get paid against milestones.

  1. 1.Describe the machine and the fault

Post the machine type, the symptoms, any error codes, and whether production is running, degraded or stopped. Photos and a saved machine record carry the detail an engineer needs to judge the job.

  2. 2.Compare the quotes you receive

Engineers who work on that equipment quote for the job. Each quote shows a price and a scope, so you can see what is included before you commit to anything.

  3. 3.Agree the scope and the milestones

You agree the scope and split payment into milestones. The agreed price, phase plan and attendance window all sit on the job record both sides can see.

  4. 4.The engineer attends site

A readiness checklist covers site contact, access, isolation and machine availability, so the visit starts with the right information rather than a phone call from the gate.

  5. 5.Track the work and sign off

Phases move from assessment through parts and on-site work to sign-off. Each milestone is approved against what has actually been completed.

  6. 6.Pay per milestone

Payment is released milestone by milestone through the platform, so the engineer is paid for completed work and you are not paying for a job in one lump up front.

If you own the machine

  • Post repair, servicing, modification, upgrade, relocation and cleaning work.
  • Record the production status so urgency is visible to the engineers quoting.
  • Keep machine records and service history against the asset, not in someone's inbox.
  • Agree milestones before work starts and release payment as each is signed off.

If you are the engineer

  • Bid for jobs that match the machines and control systems you already work on.
  • Set your own price, your rates and your out-of-hours terms.
  • See the scope, site constraints and readiness checklist before you travel.
  • Get paid against milestones through the platform, with rewards on completed work.
